Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation raises funds to improve the quality of life for sick children in hospitals and hospices all over the UK.
26th June 2015 is the 12th year people in schools, hospitals and businesses will be donning weird and wacky clothes and donating £1 to support the fund which has so far provided over £2 million to 291 project in 93 different hospitals and hospices. The money raised is spent on things such as free family accommodation, life-saving medical equipment, a range of arts, music and play therapy programmes, sensory equipment and facilities and respite care.
Fun Fact: according to researchers at the University of Leicester the techno trousers in Wallace and Gromit’s Wrong Trousers that allowed the pair to walk on the ceiling would actually work, but only for 20 minutes.
