Santa Letters helping to raise money for Smart Boards

Jules Buxton from Derbyshire has raised over £200 to put towards a smart-board fund for her sons infant school. 5227409599_b07114483d_z

The money was raised in a “Letter from Santa” scheme ran by Jules, 160 letters were written in total and sent out to children in the school. When we heard Jules was fundraising, we sent her a few sheets of stickers to use in her letters from Santa!

The £230 raised will be put towards the schools fund for a new set of smart boards which will bring an element of interactive learning into the classroom, a learning technique that many children benefit from.

We’d like to say a big well done to Jules and hope this inspires fellow parents and teachers to get creative with their fundraising methods.

Below is the Letter From Santa that Jules created for the kids- we think its great! (We also wouldn’t mind receiving one ourselves!)

1st December 2014,
Dear Michael,
My oh my, hasn’t it turned cold. I wonder if it will snow this Christmas, when I am delivering presents throughout Dronfield?
Mrs Claus and I are sat by the fire, warming our toes for a few minutes before I head on down to the workshop to check on the elves. They have been so very busy getting all the toys ready.
I have been checking my naughty and nice list and I know that you have been a good little boy this year and a super brother to Ethan. I can see that you want all sorts of surprises and I am sure you are getting very excited.
Now make sure you get to bed early on Christmas Eve and get plenty of sleep.
Would you please leave Rudolph and the other reindeer some carrots and I would be most grateful if you could leave me some milk and cookies?  As it is such a long journey, we always get quite hungry.
I do hope that you and your brother Ethan have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, with your family.
Love and best wishes, Father Christmas
